What I do
Mentor
Funke’s passion for mentoring comes from her deep belief in helping individuals develop and achieve their full potential. She guides and inspires young people through Inspiring the Future Charity, a monthly career talk she hosts: How I Started and has supported Undergraduates on the National Mentoring Consortium Programme. Funke has experience in reverse mentoring, organising speed mentoring events, and designing mentoring programmes. Due to the impactful outcome of these initiatives, she has received two Mentor of the Year awards.

Funke brings her vibrant message to women’s conferences, leadership forums, and career events. Her inspirational and tenacious mission is brought forth to the masses through her reassuring smile, passion, and commitment to their success. Captivating audiences through her experiences and passion for developing women, her ability to empathise with their life struggles while sharing her vision for their future keeps all in attendance leaning into her strength and voice of inspiration.
Author
A three-time author, Funke shares her experiences with uplifting expression and storytelling in her books that are easy to relate to and give the reader hope and an understanding that they too can overcome the struggles in their life.
Always a Mum – How I Survived my baby loss: Funke writes with candour about her reflection, reaction, and reason for her baby loss experience. In an encouraging and easy-to-read format, she addresses the notion of motherhood, her fears about subsequent pregnancies, accessing support, holding on to faith despite the loss, living again, and finding purpose in her pain.
There is More to You – There is more to you is a call for women to see beyond their achievements, limitations, circumstances, past, and comfort zone. It encourages women to stretch, reach and birth the potential inside them. There is more to you compels women to learn more, be more, see more, live more, and love more. Composed of the input of seventy-five diverse women Funke brought together from around the world, this book includes a perspective from the experiences of these women and their unique viewpoints.
